"I often ask myself why she trusts me this much? What's that keeps her from doubting my fealty to her? What makes her wait for me when all I have is a feeble promise of seeing her again? Why she troubles herslef with my memories when she doesn't have a glitch of a clue whether I would go back to her?", he told the man he had just met a while ago -- an old man in his late 70s.
The old man smiled, shook his head, cleared his throat and addressed him,
"Lad, this is what a woman's made of: compassion, innocence, love and sacrifice. She waits for you because she knows your value. All that rests in her heart is faith. To understand a woman is difficult but logical. Her compassion often supersedes all other exigencies that might try to derail her. She comforts a man with all that stays at her disposal. It's her innocence that she trusts a man, brushing aside anything that might cast doubts in her heart about him. She loves unconditionally and always awaits a moment of joy within a painful spell of time. She is ready for any sacrifice that she might have to give in order to win back what's lost. She is a magical representation of God's mastery."
He, who was listening carefully, asked the old man, "What if I don't go back to her, ever? Would she hang on till the very last?"
"Yes, if she is a real woman," the old man replied, "but would you be man enough to go back to her and make her pride herself of loving a gentleman?"
"Oh God", he thought, "do I have to go through all this?"
He stood up, waved a hand to the old man, but something kept revolving in his mind -- the old man's words.
